Jesus taught, "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31). And Les and Brenda have a burden to do just that.

As lifelong Sabbath—keepers, this happy couple grew up loving Jesus and laboring for His cause. And as longtime friends of Amazing Facts International, they have witnessed the ministry grow over several decades. From attending an Amazing Facts evangelistic series (Les even had the chance to meet Joe Crews) to watching current president Doug Batchelor, they have been personally blessed by Amazing Facts' lasting commitment to God's Word.

"Pastor Doug has been faithful to preach the high standards of Jesus Christ and the gospel," Les shares. "He has stood for Biblical truths when not popular and has been such an encouragement to my wife and me!"

Les and Brenda have found particular joy in giving personal Bible studies using the Amazing Facts Study Guides. The clearly formatted lessons have had a double impact of blessings, strengthening their own faith as well as bringing others to Christ.

And today, husband and wife have joyfully made the decision to provide for those continuing that work. For more than 40 years, Les and Brenda have lived in the same home on the same street. They have seen people move in and move out, grow up and grow old—and have shared with them the lifesaving truths they have been privileged to know for so long.

Now, through the Amazing Facts estate and gift planning team, the seeds that this faithful couple have so dutifully planted can grow and multiply for years to come: Les and Brenda have not only established the Les and Brenda Purdy AFCOE Scholarship Fund to support Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism students, but they have also designated Amazing Facts as a beneficiary of their retirement account and trust. "After we pass, our home will be used for AFCOE graduates to live and work in to continue spreading the gospel in our neighborhood," Les writes. "Our legacy will include furthering the gospel message to our very own neighbors."
